Here's a song I wrote about and for my four kids. You might or might mot get something out of it. If you DO, I hope it's embedded in the chorus.

Lyrics

Verse1:
Seems like only yesterday, but it's been many years
I held her hand, while she held back the tears
Then somebody screamed, and then there was the doctor
And he handed me a bundle and said,
"Dad, here's your daughter."
And I looked in my arms, and I saw a face,
A little Tuesday's Child, full of hope and grace,
And she looked at me, with eyes full of trust,
And the rest of the world just melted into dust.

You bring such joy to me,
Daddy's Little Missionary…
…And then it hit me!

Chorus:
We've got to train up this child in the way she should go
And she won't turn away from God when she's old
It'll take a lot of Love, it'll take a lot of prayer
But God's on our side and we'll all get there.
So baby just trust the arms that hold you
'Cause we're gonna share all we have with you
You will never be abandoned, you will never be alone
You will always be welcome.
Welcome Home.

Verse2:
Well, the years flew by, and our little girl grew
And we raised her on the bible and a bottle or two,
And a nighttime visit that wasn't much fun
And the doctor gave me a bundle, and said,
"Mom, you've got a son!"
And I looked in my arms, and I saw a face,
A little Monday's Child who was fair of face
And he looked up at me, and he got his first kiss,
And the rest of the world just faded into mist…

You bring my heart such cheer,
Momma's little Engineer…
…And then it hit me!

Chorus:

Verse3:
Well, the years flew by, and our little boy grew,
And our daughter helped out a time or two,
And an evening rush to make it to the doctor,
And he handed me a bundle and said,
"Look, Dad, another daughter."
And I looked down and saw a face all aglow,
A little Thursday's Child, who had far to go,
And she looked up at me, with eyes that seemed to say,
"I've got the World by the tail, don't get in my way."

Yes, I know you'll go far,
Daddy's little Superstar…
…And then it hit me!

Chorus:

Verse4:
Well, the years rolled by, and the kids all grew,
And we fed them the bible and a burger or two,
And a late night trip full of pain and joy,
And the doctor gave me a bundle and said,
"It's a boy!"
And I looked in my arms, and I saw a face,
A big Monday's Child, who was fair of face,
And he looked up at me, with a happy grin,
And the world faded into mist again.

You're too big to throw back,
Momma's little Quarterback…
…And then it hit me!

Chorus:
